Canadian Amateur Golf Top 10s: Celebrating Canada’s Best Amateur Golfers

The last year Golf Canada produced The National Orders of Merit for Men, Women, and Juniors was 2019. Luckily, Canadian Amateur Golf was created in 2024 to address the need for fans to celebrate our amateur golfers! One way we do this is by maintaining a top 10 list of both male and female golfers which we call our Top 10s (pretty catchy name…and very original).
This week’s Top 10s
It's not rocket science, but at Canadian Amateur Golf (CAG), we've used the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) for our top 10 list. Is WAGR flawless? Definitely not, but it's the most widely used system, and we didn't want to spend all our time ranking players since there are many other topics we want to share with you. Could you find these rankings yourself? Absolutely, but you'd need to visit wagr.com, select either female or male rankings, filter by North America, then Canada, and there you have it. CAG is here to save you time, so we've compiled it for you below.

Top 10s Women
Following her victory at the Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, Vanessa Zhang ascended into our Top 10. Similarly, Taylor Kehoe climbed the rankings after securing two recent top 10 finishes at the Big Ten Women's Championships and the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational.
Top 10s Men
Dawson Lew secured a spot in our Top 10 following his recent victory at the AJGA Lake Charles Junior Championship. Fellow Canadian Jager Pain finished second in the same event, boosting his position in our rankings. It was an impressive one-two finish for the Canadians at the Mallard Golf Club in Louisiana!
